DA
Triple
Your Results
By Dale Andrew
This
article covers one of the most crucial factors of HOW you
should be lifting the weights in order to get the most out of
your effort. And I gotta tell you... I'm always AMAZED at just
how many guys aren't even getting THIS one little principle
right!
So let’s get right to one
of the ways you can triple your resistance training results
immediately. It has to do with how you specifically perform
the repetitions. To better understand this, let’s examine
our 3 different strength levels in any
resistance exercise.
Take the dumbbell curl
exercise for the biceps for example.
- Begin with the weight down
at your sides.
- Smoothly and slowly curl
the dumbbells up to your shoulders. This movement trains
your positive strength level.
- Pause briefly and contract
your biceps at the top of the movement. This trains your
static strength level.
- Finally, lower the
dumbbells slowly back to the starting position. This
trains your negative strength level.
I'm
guessing that about 63.4% of you out there who look at this
tip and say "Awww...I knew THAT!", if you REAAAAALY
think about you last workout, you probably DIDN'T use this
technique. Really take the time to think back and ask yourself
if you did!
Fact is, most people don’t
even bother with the static or negative strength levels. They
put all their focus on the “lifting” or positive portion
of the movement, while not pausing or contracting sufficiently
at the top, and not spending nearly enough time on the
negative portion.
In effect, they're only
getting one third of the benefits that this exercise can give
them. Actually, it’s less than that as the static and
negative portions actually create deeper increases into your
existing strength levels.
Why's strength so important,
anyway? Outside of the obvious reasons, strength leads to
muscle growth, which leads to a faster resting metabolism,
which leads to faster fat loss and much, much more.
The
Organic Debate
By Dr. John Berardi
The
average person should consume two pieces of fruit and three
servings of vegetables per day as a minimum. Athletes probably
need even more. Experts often spend too much time arguing
about organic vs. regular fruits and veggies. I agree that
raw, organic fruits and vegetables are best since they have a
higher micronutrient count, but any fruits and veggies
are better than none! Get sufficient fruits and vegetables in
your diet before worrying about whether they're organic or
not. Once you've done that, worry on.
When
it comes to nutrition, JB is the expert I turn to - and for good
reason - he has a Ph.D. in Kinesiology (with a specialization in
Exercise and Nutritional Biochemistry), has authored more than
200 articles, launched the nutrition
system
that
is rapidly becoming the industry standard and oh yeah, long
before all that, he was the 1995 Mr. Jr. USA Bodybuilding
champion.

Are
Your Nutritional Needs Being Met?
By Dale
Andrew
Personally, I was
a little skeptical of ProgradeSystem.com
when they claimed that their flagship product, VGF 25+,
was the best multi on the planet. But I feel great, and I'm not
the only one. The testimonials have started pouring in.
Here's a recent one from Laura...
"VGF
25+ for Women has been great, even though I was a bit
hesitant to start something new. I can tell a huge
difference from the regular synthetic vitamins I took before.
Regular multivitamins were a bit hard on my stomach. The VGF
never caused a problem. I can tell you that I consistently take
VGF 2-3 times a day. In addition to the changes I made to my
eating habits, I feel confident that all my
nutritional needs are being met. I have lots of energy,
but most surprisingly, I don't feel like I am on a roller
coaster of emotions. I feel like I am on an even road and more
in control as I handle the ups and downs of life. Thank you,
Prograde!"
